Fusion Heating secures landmark Choice Housing contract

Fusion Heating, one of the leading heating and energy services contractors in Northern Ireland, has secured a landmark seven year contract with Choice Housing, which will see Fusion looking after all existing and new home heating systems.

Choice Housing is the largest housing association in Northern Ireland. The high quality homes, care and support services the organisation provides help meet the diverse needs of a wide range of customers.

This is the first major contract win by Fusion Heating since it was announced earlier this month that SSE Airtricity has acquired 50 per cent of the leading energy services contractor.

Under this landmark contract, which will run to 2024, Fusion Heating will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all gas, oil and electrical heating systems as well as renewables systems installed in Choice Housing’s portfolio of around 10,000 quality social housing units across the region.

Fusion will play a vital role in helping Choice Housing meet a range of its challenging customer service performance targets, demonstrating both organisations’ shared commitment to excellent service. Fusion will also play a central part in meeting Choice Housing’s target of servicing 100 per cent of gas boilers in Choice properties within a year.

Michael McDonnell, Group Chief Executive of Choice Housing, said:

“This is a good deal that supports our commitment to deliver excellence to more than 10,000 customers across Northern Ireland. Reliable repairs and value for money are shared priorities for all of us and with Fusion Heating, we can provide responsive services and added confidence, particularly during these colder months. Tenants and service users should expect and receive the very best support from our teams and suppliers. Professional partnerships, like this, enhance the quality of our services and our customers’ experience.”

Bill Cherry, Managing Director of Fusion Heating, commented:

“We are delighted to be working with Choice Housing and to have secured this important contract. Choice Housing’s core values mirror ours at Fusion and they include trustworthiness, a customer-centred approach, quality work, service delivery, professionalism and value for money. Over the coming years we look forward to working in partnership with Choice Housing to play our role in helping to enhance the lives of customers and communities across Northern Ireland.”

David Manning, Director of Home Energy at SSE Airtricity, said:

“This contract win and the partnership between Fusion and Choice Housing represent exactly the potential we saw in Fusion. At SSE Airtricity we operate in local communities right across Northern Ireland and we want to make a positive difference to people’s lives as we do so. Through this contract and our association with Fusion, SSE Airtricity is playing a key role in making homes better for thousands of people.”
