SSE Airtricity wins Contact Centre of the Year at 2016 CCMA Ireland Awards
SSE Airtricity, Ireland’s second largest energy provider, took home the trophy for Customer Contact Centre of the Year (Medium) at the 2016 Irish Customer Contact and Shared Services Awards, organised by CCMA Ireland.
The awards ceremony took place on Saturday 12 November in Dublin, with representatives from over 40 companies in attendance.
The judges said that SSE Airtricity received the prestigious award for its “focus on improvement and innovation in achieving all-round outstanding performance”, adding that the company “is on a service improvement mission and there is no stopping them!”
SSE Ireland Managing Director, Stephen Wheeler, said:

James Waghorn, Senior Manager of Customer Operations at SSE Airtricity, added:
“We’ve worked hard over the last year to further improve and enhance our customer experience, through both traditional and digital platforms. The customer is at the heart of everything we do as a business, and we are constantly evolving our offering to meet changing customer needs. In the last 12 months, this has included upgrading our telephony system, extending our opening hours, and adding several new digital ways for customers to contact us.”
SSE Airtricity was also proud to be shortlisted in the strongly-contested Best Customer Experience and Support Team of the Year categories.
